Annual fundraiser benefits local communities in NC and SC
Since 1998, Allen Tate Realtors have gathered each fall to raise money for public education in local communities across the Carolinas.
This year, under the rebranding as Howard Hanna Allen Tate Real Estate, agents continued that time-honored tradition, raising more than $128,000, and bringing the FUNday lifetime total to $2.93 million.
FUNday is a fundraising event where agents and professional staff come together in a social setting, with vendor sponsors. Public education is part of the Howard Hanna Tate Cares giving initiative, which also sponsors the Children’s Free Care Fund, which supports local children’s hospitals and provides free medical care for children who cannot afford it.
To date, the Howard Hanna Family of Companies has contributed more than $27 million to local charities.
“FUNday has always been one of my favorite events. There is so much energy. I take great pride in seeing our agents come together to raise money to support public education initiatives that directly benefit students and teachers in our local communities,” said Gary Scott, president, Howard Hanna Allen Tate Real Estate.
Four regional FUNday events were held in October and November throughout the company footprint in North and South Carolina.
This fall’s events included “Recruiting Champions for Public Education,” a competition-themed event at the Reeves Recruiting Center at Clemson University in Clemson, S.C.; “Decades of Fun,” a throwback event at the Club Fifth Season at the Sheraton Greensboro in Greensboro, N.C.; a social gathering at and raffle at the ZincHouse Winery & Brewery in Durham, N.C.; and a family field day at the Anne Close Springs Greenway – Comporium Amphitheatre in Fort Mill, S.C.
More than 600 Howard Hanna Allen Tate Realtors, employees, vendors, and guests attended. Festivities included silent and live auctions, raffles, wine pulls, games, live music, and other activities to raise funds for local schools and educational foundations.
Howard Hanna Allen Tate regional vice presidents and residential leaders served as regional FUNday chairs.
A total of 37 local school systems, foundations, and education organizations in North and South Carolina receive support from the Howard Hanna Allen Tate FUNday.
