Real estate leader expands footprint, closes 14,719 transactions

Allen Tate Companies ended 2024 with $7.24 billion in closed sales volume, a year marked by growth opportunities.

The Carolinas’ leading real estate company reported 14,719 closed transaction sides in 2024 and listed 9,153 homes for sale. The 67-year-old company now operates 77 offices with more than 1,800 agents in seven regions throughout the Carolinas.

With its partner Howard Hanna Real Estate Services, the company is ranked as the #1 independent real estate brokerage in the country, with more than 500 offices across 13 states and 15,000 sales agents and staff.

Allen Tate/Howard Hanna also reported strong results for its Essential Services companies for 2024:

Howard Hanna Mortgage closed 1,032 loans totaling $337.6 million for Allen Tate and Allen Tate/Beverly-Hanks customers in NC and SC.

Allen Tate Insurance provided insurance coverage to 17,323 customers, with 32,278 policies in force.

Allen Tate Relocation generated 6,999 referrals and closed 2,526 referrals through its Relocation connections around the world.

Master Title Agency and Cardinal Title produced more than 8,100 title insurance policies, insuring more than $6.6 billion in property value.

Builder Services partnered with 7 new home builders, representing 12 new homes communities in North and South Carolina, and closing 91 transactions totalling $78.3 million.

More than 800 Allen Tate Realtors achieved top performance levels during 2024, based on closed sales volume of $2 million to more than $100 million. Allen Tate will celebrate these achievements at regional awards presentations over the next month.

Realtors are recognized each year by Allen Tate for their achievements in categories including company-wide closed sales volume, closed units, listing volume, listing units, and referrals, and for legendary service provided. Realtors are also recognized for their achievements within their region and at the branch level, including top individual agent, top team and rookie of the year.

In 2024, Allen Tate partnered with local independent brokerages to open six offices: Allen Tate North Wilkesboro/Blair Properties, Allen Tate Greenville NC/ENC Pirate Realty, Allen Tate Anderson-Downtown/Pine to Palm Realty, Allen Tate Murphy/Gremli Group, Allen Tate Clemson/Savvy Realty, and Allen Tate/Beverly-Hanks Black Mountain/Freestone Properties.

In October, Allen Tate entered into the South Carolina Low Country region with the acquisition of The Alliance Group Realty, a Howard Hanna Tate Company, welcoming more than 70 agents in Hilton Head and Bluffton. In December, Allen Tate acquired The Overman Group, with agents joining both Allen Tate Realtors in Oak Ridge and Allen Tate/Beverly-Hanks Realtors in Asheville.

Allen Tate also opened its Charlotte-South office in July, bringing together agents from Ballantyne, Providence, and Matthews/Mint Hill offices under one roof. Also in July, the company completed major renovations to its Asheville-Downtown office.
