The Point in Mooresville offers the best of both worlds: quiet lake living and golfing with easy access to the city amenities of Charlotte. This luxury home community sits on a peninsula of Lake Norman, the largest lake in North Carolina. The centerpiece of the neighborhood is the 18-hole, Greg Norman-designed private golf course offered by Trump National Charlotte.

Looking for the ideal place to retire or raise a family in the Southern Piedmont region of North Carolina? Here is everything you need to know about The Point to see if it’s the right fit for you.

About Mooresville

The Point is located in Mooresville, North Carolina, about 25 miles north of Charlotte. Being the home of more than 60 NASCAR teams and racing-related businesses has earned Mooresville the nickname “Race City USA,” and the city has two automotive museums.

Although Mooresville is in Iredell County and Charlotte is in Mecklenburg County, Mooresville is considered part of the Charlotte metro area. However, Mooresville residents have lower property tax rates and the public schools are part of either the Iredell-Statesville School District or the Mooresville Graded School District, rather than Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.

About Lake Norman

Lake Norman is the largest man-made fresh water body in the state and was named after former Duke Power president Norman Atwater Cocke. Eighteen of its 520 miles of shoreline are part of the peninsula that houses The Point community.
