Main Street Hendersonville is a place where people walk, where people work, and where people share their lives with each other. At Allen Tate/Beverly-Hanks, we’re proud to have an office located at the heart of this vibrant and easily traversable downtown. Each day, we treasure our opportunity to help people find homes in this amazing mountain town—as well as our ability to take advantage of everything downtown has to offer!
From coffee shops and eateries to locally-sourced shopping, craft breweries, and an abundance of arts and culture, Downtown Hendersonville has a multitude of things to offer residents and visitors alike. It’s almost impossible to decide what’s best about downtown. However, here are five of our favorite places within walking distance of our Main Street Hendersonville office.
Appalachian Pinball Museum

Hendersonville is home to many attractions for kids of all ages. We love visiting Laura E. Corn Mini-Golf Course at Edwards Park, where each hole is themed for attractions around WNC! Or from our office, walk to the nearby Appalachian Pinball Museum for even more family fun. Formerly a ballroom and a theater, the picturesque building is now home to dozens upon dozens of rare and vintage pinball machines. For a flat fee, you can spend all day trying their collection of both vintage and contemporary pinball machines, as well as video games.

Local art galleries

Technically not just one “place,” we love the abundance of local art galleries within steps of our door. As you walk up and down Main Street’s tree-lined sidewalks, you’ll spot nearly a dozen galleries that have created exciting downtown destinations for artists and art lovers alike. Visit active studios and see artists in action. Shop more than 100 individual vendors at The Emporium on Main for local art, crafts, and gifts. And take classes and workshops to improve your own skills.

Oklawaha is an award-winning nano-brewery and taproom that takes inspiration from the creek that runs through the middle of Henderson County. They specialize in hop forward IPAs, crisp lagers, and locally fruited sours—and they never disappoint. In addition to great brews, Oklawaha hosts live entertainment seven nights a week. Postero
From Umi to Never Blue to long-time downtown staple Mezzaluna, there are so many great places to eat in downtown Hendersonville! Today, we recommend you treat yourself to lunch, dinner, or a decadent dessert at Postero, hands down one of our favorites. Located just off Main Street on 4th Avenue, this upscale New American restaurant is “inspired by the great American melting pot of culinary cultures and techniques”. Dinner plates range from local slow-cooked Hickory Nut Gap Farm pork shank to shrimp “scampi” cacio e pepe.
