Allen Tate | Howard Hanna, the Carolinas’ leading real estate company, has named Michael Hamby as branch leader for the company’s Greenville/Simpsonville and Greer, S.C. offices.
In this role, Hamby will develop and coach an established team of successful agents and help expand the culture of Allen Tate to attract new agents.
Hamby is a seasoned real estate leader with more than 21 years of experience, including roles as vice president, managing broker and Realtor. Prior to his real estate career, he worked as a certified master chef.
He earned a bachelor of science degree in business finance from Arizona State University. He has held multiple real estate designations during his career, including CRIS (Certified Residential Investment Specialist), CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), CNE (Certified Negotiation Expert), ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative), and MRP (Military Relocation Professional). He has completed the Ninja Selling Installation and is a passionate advocate of the program.
A dedicated volunteer, Hamby has served as a multi-year coach for the American Heart Association Heart Walk in Maryland.

Hamby and his wife Kendal Horton recently relocated to the Upstate from Annapolis, MD and make their home in Woodruff. They have a daughter and two grandsons. He enjoys reading, cooking and traveling.
