Stephanie Riley, chief marketing officer for Allen Tate | Howard Hanna, has been honored as a 2025 Women in Business Award winner by the Charlotte Business Journal.

Riley was one of 25 Charlotte-area professional women honored at an event held March 20, 2025, at The Westin Charlotte. The signature CBJ event, now in its 29th year, honors industry-leading executives, entrepreneurs and business owners from the Charlotte region who have made significant contributions to their professions and to their communities during the past year.

Riley joined Allen Tate in 2016 with more than 20 years of experience in strategic planning, branding and implementation, project management, media and marketing analytics.

“Stephanie is an exceptional and accomplished senior marketing executive and collaborative communicator with a demonstrated ability to lead and inspire,” said Gary Scott, president, Allen Tate | Howard Hanna and Howard Hanna Virginia. “She is most deserving of this award.”

Her recent accomplishments include overseeing a multi-million-dollar integrated marketing and advertising budget and leading a team of 33 marketing, advertising, public relations and social media professionals based in Charlotte and Asheville. She also helped lead company-wide relief efforts to raise more than $200,000 to assist those impacted by Hurricane Helene in the Carolinas.

During her career, Riley has led teams across global markets, culminating with leading successful Allen Tate | Howard Hanna acquisitions in the Carolinas, including Allen Tate/Beverly-Hanks in the Asheville/Mountain region in 2022 and the Alliance Group Realty in Hilton Head last year.

Riley continues to foster the innovative Allen Tate Marketing Concierge program, which provides custom designs, content and marketing services to Allen Tate Realtors, and is credited with leveraging strategic college sports partnerships with Carolina Athletics, Clemson Athletics, and App State Athletics.

Recently, she spearheaded the development of Homephysical.com, a consumer website and marketing campaign to help homeowners navigate the homeownership journey and make the most of their most important investment.

Riley is the recipient of multiple company and industry awards, including the Allen Tate Chairman’s Award, in recognition of the current year’s performance and continued contributions to the company; and the Earle Heath Servant Leadership Award, in recognition of leadership that flourishes with collaboration and team acknowledgement. She has also received numerous marketing awards from Leading Real Estate Companies of the World.

“My greatest motivation comes from building spaces where authentic relationships thrive, both personally and professionally — where people can grow beyond traditional boundaries at work and home,” Riley said.

“Watching my adult children and team members discover not just new skills – but new confidence, stronger voices and deeper self-awareness – energizes me.”
